uvex rise cc Tocsen: the helmet that looks after you!
The uvex rise cc Tocsen does not only look extremely attractive with its neon yellow – matt silver colour, but does also fit incredibly well, sitting comfortably on my head. It’s not just the head circumference that can be accurately adjusted, but, thanks to the IAS-3D system, also the head height. Eleven vents provide perfect airflow and make head sweating a thing of the past. The insulation from wind noise is also at the highest level thanks to the well-arranged ventilation openings. But what particularly thrilled me about the helmet is the Tocsen crash sensor integrated into the size adjustment dial, which connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth LE. The free Tocsen app is available in Apple’s App Store and on Google Play. To pair the helmet with the smartphone, shake the helmet forcefully until the signal appears on the display.
The Tocsen crash sensor: one for all eventualities
The integrated Tocsen sensor will automatically detect a fall and “ask” if everything is OK. You then have 30 seconds to turn off the alarm. If you don’t react, your stored emergency contacts will be notified after these 30 seconds and your location will be communicated. And what’s really cool: in addition to the emergency contacts, everyone in your area who has the Tocsen app installed will be informed about your accident! This provides fast help and makes you feel much safer thanks to this new technology.
uvex Sportstyle 236: stylish eye protection
Apart from the helmet, I was also allowed to test the uvex Sportstyle 236 set of sports glasses in the colour black mat, which just perfectly match the uvex rise CC Tocsen road bike helmet. The glasses perfectly take on the contours of the helmet and the temples fit very well on the head and don’t feel disturbing or squeezing in any way. The large oversized lens provides optimal protection against insects and small objects.
The glasses are not only super trendy, but also very light and multifunctional. For example, you can regulate the nose pads and the temple tips, as well as the length of the temples. Thanks to the uvex supravision® technology, the glasses keep the lenses fog-free in all temperatures and weather conditions. What’s more, the beading effect makes cleaning them very easy. Besides the mirrored, tinted lens, the set also includes a clear lens, both featuring 100{09776a9e527fe6e7777aceefa8f4e2f820982470cae700a67e7c7fb2d68155cf} UV protection. Changing the lenses is child’s play, simply press the push button on the inside and the temple, frame and lens are quickly unlocked and replaced in no time.

I can definitely recommend the helmet in combination with the glasses, as both products do not only offer maximum comfort, but also safety.
